Designing for Active Travel in the ACT
A new two-day training course covering the new MIS05 guidelines

This course is designed to give traffic and transport professionals a thorough grounding in the new ACT active travel guidelines: Municipal Infrastructure Standard Part 5 - Active Travel Facilities Design (MIS05).
The course is suitable for ACT Government staff, traffic & transport consultants and project managers working in both the public and private sectors.
This course provides a comprehensive coverage of the key issues and operating characteristics for pedestrians, bicycle riders and equestrians particularly when mixing with other modes. The course consists of a mixture of fieldwork (on foot and by bike), tutorials and workshop exercises where you will work in teams to develop solutions to real-life examples.

Included in the $550* (incl GST) registration fee are: Course tuition by experienced practitioners; visual presentations featuring best practice examples; copies of the MIS05 guidelines; course resources on a USB flash drive; lunches, morning/afternoon teas, and; quality hire bicycles and helmets. You can bring you own helmet or bicycle if you wish.
